Plan A...
Wounded, I can't speak of the knives
The ones that cut me so I bleed
Old scars have been re-opened
They fester with dirt swept under the rug
Poison arrows fly at me from ambush
and I bravely struggle on
Holding the shield to protect my heart
I cannot find Plan B

Hello, Sir Gee,
Reading this poem, I cannot help but wonder how you are doing. Are you feeling okay? I like the last set of lines, as I wish I had a plan B.
Poison arrows fly at me from ambush
and I bravely struggle on
Holding the shield to protect my heart
I cannot find Plan B
always, Cat

Plan B
It is only a symptom of my heartbreak at some turn of events in some family troubles. I am as well as can be expected health-wise, just mentally drawn. I'm thinking that all will be worked out soon. Thanks for your concern. I'm one of those people who would always have a plan B, but misplace it. LOL It's good to have friends like you and the rest of the gang here at Neo, thanks, ~ Gee

Thanks Dude...
I've never had to live like that, but almost. I think that living alone, amongst others is the worst of all though.
Even with a lot of people around telling you that they are there for you, and meaning it, if you can't tell them what is on your mind, you are alone. You are right, most of us manage to survive. We always come up with some kind of management mechanism to keep us going. Thanks for the encouragement. ~ Gee

I will not offer kind words of support.
It sounds to me that you have a pretty good grip on things no matter how tough these times are.
So instead I'll tell you that I loved the poem. Bloody concise and chillingly real. We all feel these things often.
Title suggestion- Plan A or Trapped in Plan A.
