CRASH SITE

Bravo Foxtrot Juliet down, over!
Deafening silence struck
Realities eclipsed in the actual
The nation mourn in numbness

Locked up emotions
Gripped the people
With induced insanity
Fear fuelled the outrage
Tears mingled with blood

Rain washed down the sacrifices
Into the womb of the earth
On the farmland of Tunga Madaki
As one drinks water after a meal

Charred remains of corpses
Headless bodies and limbs
Scattered across the savannah
Moments before the windshield
Were healthy humans

Parts of living men and women
Proud and noble in their ways
Now pleading from memory
To be carried away as harvest

I looked around the verandas
Of city hospital morgues
Filled to capacity
I wished it was a dream
But I was wrong

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

A lot of people also lost their job after this. I am glad you like it. Best wishes,
