water

water

this is the water that wore
granite down
in the merry month of may

this is the water that wore
granite down
as flowers bloomed
in merry month of may

this is water that wore
granite down
as flowers bloomed
picked by an angel in
merry month of may

this is water that wore granite
down smooth
as flowers bloomed
picked by an angel of a throng
in merry
month of may

this is water that wore granite
down smooth as glass
as flowers bloomed
picked by angels -- merry month
of may

this is water that wore granite down
smooth as glass -- glistening
as flowers bloomed for angels
picked by elven maids
in merry month
of may

this is water that wore
granite
down smooth as glass -- glistening
in moonlight
as flowers died in june that followed
may
picked by none

this is water that wore
granite down
smooth as glass --
glistening in sunshine
as angels sing of summer nights
elves dance rings in faery
as water wears granite down
watching flowers bloom
in merry month of may.

I hope you're still around. One year and 1 day since you posted it and this is the first comment. Blame everyone else, I was still suspended then.

a proud and potent poem. Elements of shamanism. Dig it.
