K o n s u m e d

tear wet and lust gleaming
hearts souls
collision course

crash into rooms
waiting
inscence filled
and candle fueled
the shower hot water
still running
like a midnight trail
Terazzio to carpeted lair

let me taste their thirst
the maiden pale flesh
and saturate the dark
reaching walls with
your yearning cries

Unhappy girl come to lay
your head upon me cry and
let this melancholic music
soothe unending why's

come rescue us sleep
and bury us dreams
in this tangle of love

I thrive for her calls
to hear that voice
that once pressed its whisper to my ears
and every year
ever single year
I am haunted by her love
and our memory
Ice upon the cedars and branchs
on the old mansion grounds
How I fixed my phone today and will
send her a desire to hear here again
via our messages

sometimes old lovers are more closest
to the heart then any other
and how we know each other
so very very well........

This is hauntingly beautiful! It reminds me of time spent with an old lover from my past. *sigh...
Lovely imagery. Thanks for the memory. I love these lines:

let me taste their thirst
the maiden pale flesh
and saturate the dark
reaching walls with
your yearning cries

Yes more fact then fiction
this one...We still phone each other and talk
on the "blower" as my parents called the
telephone..off in our different worlds she
and I but we write..how we write!

and we still are connected
she still calls
and writes and our love will never die
so odd
we have our lives fulfilled
and yet the old fires
the old fires still warm us
and we tend them with softness
and desire
all the keeping of it

precious and tender

It never dies does it.
