THIS STILLNESS Submitted by Geremia on Tue, 2011-09-06 18:36
There is a stillness deep
a silence that soothes
and terrifies
no words can be spoken
the noise of living
fades into distant places
and I wait quietly pretending

the world doesn't speak to me
the same way it did before
my words are sharp and clear
yet somehow fade and disappear
heard by none

my art if art it be
hides my soul in metaphor
and the stories I tell
are me in hell

my sight is weak
my movements slow and heavy
my thoughts at times unclear
and I fear the madness that is to come

my will is strong and stronger still
and when my heart wants to give in
I push the day to live again

EPILOGUE

every life has a meaning and connection
to all others
each suffering is a reflection
of another’s
the end of one is our own dying

Joe Geremia my friend. I can hardly read this, My heart is broken, my eyes are weary with tears here as I read this. I am praying for you honey and Lord knows it too. I will never say good bye to you my friend as we meet again if the sun does not come out tomorrow you and I will know the dove will fly free.

I love You my Italian poet Joe Geremia from Neopoet. I am praying. You my Brother In Christ, Forever.

May the Peace of God be with You my friend

Amen

I love you Joe

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,
shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'
(Rudyard Kipling)

Though we talked earlier on Skype, Joe, I've gotten to the point I remember so well--that my mom and my friend Cathy once were....there are many tears of sadness, a hole that will never be filled by anyone else. The loss of loved ones is what we all live through until at last we lose our own lives.

However, my friend, I think your life's work is not yet over. You have miles to go.

Sending you love,
A & B

Joe,

I am so pleased we managed to connect earlier via Skype.

We don't know when our journey ends or if our journey just changes direction from one dimension to another, but whatever, I am proud to say we are friends.

Stay strong my friend.

Dan.
