Nothing Changes

Whether it be nineteenth century,
Twentieth century, or
Twenty first century
Nothing changes
People continue to repeat
Blunders of predecessors

The Great Depression of the 1920’s

You would think
Lessons learned by forerunners
Would be guiding light
In pathways of opportunist, encouraged
To change a path destine to fail
Sooner or later, but

The love of money, not
Money itself,
Blinds eyes of chancers
Seeking to make big
Regardless of obvious troubles
Not so far over the horizon

Great one here and connected with it right off the bat. Lessons learned by forerunners and forefathers of this country. Let there be light in the upcoming days ahead for all of us.

Happy Grandmothering:)

thanks happy mothering is a joy.
glad you like it. was watching pbs and was captivated by how things of those days long ago relate to today based on the same behavior that got us in economic trouble in the first place.
