REGIONAL BLOCK - ECOWAS

Our family ties, by custom, complex
Some in simple units of man and spouse
Ours, with three wives and fifteen children
A step sister slapped by a half brother
In brawl from play by younger ones
Entire household engulfed in militancy
A sketchy spectacle for the passers by

Assortment, a code for our polygamy
The bad and the good mixed in a bundle
When peace finds a way to our home
Grown ups offer to help the up coming
They in turn assist those behind the line
The prop ups produce useful members
Nation, like our family, in diversity grows

Regional block fostered by nationalism
Like many wives married to one man
Half brothers parley the step sisters
Simple greetings, handshakes and smiles
Boundaries are moved for want of space
Play in free trade set up to thrive
For total liberation of the enslaved

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

It is funny though...the way you perceive the scribbler of parchments under the name 't. refexion', it can go for an epitaph if he or she were to run away and abandon neopoet. I am a story teller and most of what you read are not my views, just reporting. I have learned to detach my self from my works, that is why I do not mind 'raw truth', hard criticism does me a lot of good. It kills the vice called pride. You know the position in 'post structuralism' that says 'the author is dead once a piece is written' and all the bla...bla...bla that go with it.

Look at what my scribbles make you do, bringing out the poet in you,'spontaneous overflow of powerful feeling'. The piece you posted here, 'The Judge' is great in content, the use of imagery is masterful and the style gives us a clue of the author's perception of life, excellent write.

Once again, I extend to you a hand of friendship, we could be great friends, you know...alright let us stop fighting, I want to hear positive response from you. The road is a long one, where writers travel and our meeting may not be a mere chance, think, what makes you angry with me? We are completely different and these differences could be used to complement our efforts and our desires to improve our works. Best wishes
