how could i not love may

how could i not love may
the month that i was born in
the jacaranda's in full bloom
lovely weather's here again

the french marigolds i planted
are growing taller everyday
i can't wait until they're blooming
they'll make such lovely bouquets

there's no better month to have
been born in is what i say
when nature's at it's most beautiful
how could i not love may

I liked the way you personalized the reasons you like May. I have some alternative if you think they might help :
s-2,l-1 The french marigolds which I set out
s-2 l-3 I can't wait until they're in full bloom
s-3,l-1 ....better month ,I think
s-3,l-2 to have for my birthday
s-3,l-3 when all of nature's in full bloom

These are just some ideas which you, of course, are free to use or not as this is YOUR poem..........stan

Thanks for taking the time to resond to my poem. I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. i never really thought about capitalizing anything except for when I mention God anywhere in a poem...I always do it then. Well, I will consider doing it as you are correct that they are names that are normally capitalized.

belated best wishes on your birthday....your mention of jacarandas revived memories of a time about 7 years back when i was in madagascar on a business trip and i really loved those jacaranda trees with beautiful violet flowers which in full bloom ooze nectars which literally sprinkling the streets...soooo pleasing to the eyes...

much love...

It was so nice of you to stop by to read my poem. Thank you for your wonderful remarks. I really appreciate them.

Yess, the jacaranda is so beautiful with it's violet flowers. I love how they fall and cover the lawn beneath it.

Faith
