chauntruese
arrive by five
the heels of your boot
rise on the smokey
well of stairs
and the squeal of
the brass workings
on the stolid door
your a comfort to me
glide across the room
as the slash of hot sun
bathes you
the mercury
steady
dig about in the old fridgedaire
and haul out the cold remains
of Vodka
tip back a thirsty throat
and the peach coral
lips suck down the
remaining ounces
and I gaze at the mole
between your breasts
amazed at the calm
dissaray of hair
loosened by the bay
breezes
sitting in my jeans
I was counting all the
bruises from the tussle
and the fall down the
first flight
broken the last glass
and still my foot is bleeding
on the old faded pink
squares
faded pink like our love
how we court with
ache and torture
faded in our hot sun
and yet
stupendous I shine
for you like a ruddy constellation
drowning at the treeline
down where the wolves
and werewolves an
admire me
the brilliant mermaid
the bemused muse
reach out and hold
your hand in mine
reach out and touch
my cheekbone
as you look at the colour
of my eye
See I told you it was niether
blue nor green
and i can see your
eyes occilating
about the room
hear your soft tones
discuss the business
of your happiness
dashed with the odd
curse emotive
the golden sparkle
on your lids
you invade my poems
and dreams
with snappy wit
and charm
leave my thoughts
a hurricane
in a willow grove
running like green
sleeves
flying like seaweed
in a storm
You slap me a twenty
and tell me to not
come home
without Skittles
or Starbursts
where you will
chew them noisely
as I try to write
with a six b pencil
and you make me wait
till Thursday for a
coffee i needed yesterday
I could howl
if you'd let
me

rose coloured glasses
compilation of muses
clips from today even
how they all move me
drive me consume me
amuse me
that love can flow
in currents
and this madness
this damned madness
how it makes me smile
and prowl about my
city in my worn tired
dress shirts
face tanned and ruddy from
the days about
waiting for the ice to go out

*you're* a comfort to me..
*you're* a comfort to me...just a grammar error but this is just so strong and I admire the length you are able to sustain the poem and single thought weaving it together, I never feel like I am bored reading you and I am glad I joined here so I get to read some really good new poetry.

Thanks CCfire
I like to admit that I so read your comments
and they fall into a place where compliments
and comments arrive They are a careful
construct like your poetry and as is said
about this place I admire your poetry and
find in it an exquisite pace that I had forgotten
since putting down books for a time
