page of wind

sitting watching
valley veil
the warmth
on me
the cool
the shade
collects

I keep these moments
like pages
outlined with my thoughts

I stare in depth
and distance
diluting

all the pretty pain
folded like a worn knife
I take in rain
patterned dark

how In love
at arms length
you mean

my shadow fills

against me the lean thigh
the curve
like midnight approaching the zenith hour
how your hair fires

when I am gone I dont want to be buried
with shoes

just the single worry stone
and I will have all that
I need

with your embrace
and tender
words

The sheath of a knife
its shadowed interior
coveting the steely sharpness
of painful thoughts
the extreme beauty
caged within your mind's eye
its ever roaming
trying to find
the you that's mentioned here.

I wonder who the 'you' is
or is it your own shadow?

Love Ann.

"The image of yourself which you see in a mirror Is dead,
but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

my own shadow and how the shadow changes
how we perceive ourselves from the true outline
I am happy you can see me Ann
