The Corrupted Evolution
I don't believe in a soul,
If I had one,
it's been carted away from legacy.
Be amidst one child devil,
of propensity undiscovered,
a gutless trilobite.
Swimming ostensibly,
existing recognisably,
hidden.
Begrudgingly filing a request for reward,
rewardingly,
soulless may create my non existence.
In bloodless comfort,
existence does not gratify a soul,
why live it.
Then is death.
That death brings life.
To a soulless trilobite.

yes means that I don't believe in this whole soul thing, the bible says, "the soul is the body and the spirit is what return to God", it's kind of hard to believe, So I'll just live this one, and let God worry about the rest, Hahaha!
Tomorrow i'll be struck by lighting. LMAO
I love dark poetry, that was all I use to write up to a year ago, then I fell in love and light came into my mind, Ahh shit to much information. Hahaha!
sorry, I liked this write a lot It expresses how I feel about it.

One might say...
do we corrupt only the body and leave the soul for god? For me I think we should use the body and forget the soul as soon as it leaves us, it's not ours. This is dark but the images and the feelings I get when reading this are quite haunting, I don't write quite this dark but I enjoy someone who does it well.

Your response is what I am hoping a reader of this poem might ponder, thank you. That being said, I do not necessarily believe in the existence of a soul from a religious point of view, my views are elsewhere. Yet I do not deny the possibility.

No problems
Considering my views on ordered religion which I think is contemptible lol I prefer the work of the philosophers and their different points of view. Have just finished reading The Antichrist by Nietzsche which I found fascinating.

Worth the read.
Raises a lot of the questions that confirm my atheism. Especially the truly horrid concept of a disembodied soul. Unable to act, interact, affect anything, the very idea is the product of a twisted masochistic mind.

One wonders
should we just enjoy life an not worry about an ending?

Out of the three major atheist thinkers
A.C. Grayling, Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins... I love em all.
I strain at the yoke of religious tolerance because I think all faith, not just religion but faith, is bloody silly.
Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of A.C. Grayling "The Good Book"
cheers,
Jess
