For Magic Mona "Daddy"

With love to Magic Mona.
26th March 2011.

DADDY

Daddy are you there
I crave your smile,
for you have followed me
for many a mile,
and I fear for you.

Will you make that step
into the forever darkness
we expect,
I don't feel you'll end up in the dark,
instead,

your head held high you'll reach into the blue
blue sky,
and there become a star for me,
the one that leads me to your side
one day.

I know that I will follow you,
not far behind,
and give you now the kiss
I'll do yet again
some other time.

Last few words:
I saw you asked Joe to write a poem and i decided to do so too. I know that we both wish you well and that the pain of those who die is dire and sad, but we have to go on and we wish to, even after death, lead a life full of happiness for those who have gone, they would wish it so.

I can hardly type you and Joe feel this and I can only say thank you and my heart is so heavy at this moment. I will forever keep these two poems so ever so close. I am sitting here all welled up for you both wrote such a write no one can know of but you dearest poets. Love you Ann

No magic will bring the passed people back and yet the magic of poetry can create an atmosphere that conjures up the presence of those gone and sing a song again for one, yes?
We cannot but answer your plea although you didn't ask me, I responded by sensing your needs.
Love to you and all you hold dear Mona from Ann.

So true and as I held my fathers weak hand this morning I told him to be restful dad as I started to cry I also told him. Be strong Dad, you always told me to be strong and I need you to be strong too. He is such a blessing of a father and it breaks my heart and soul to see him this way but I tend to him the best even as I limp around with my back injury. Love to you my dear lady from my heart to yours in Norway please know I will always treasure this poem. forever
Love Mona

A poem from your comment
complete as it is...

So true
and as I held my fathers weak hand
this morning
I told him to be restful

"dad", as I started to cry,
I also told him.
"Be strong Dad,
you always told me to be strong
and I need you to be strong too."

He is such a blessing of a father
and it breaks my heart and soul
to see him this way,
but I tend to him
as best I can,

even as I limp around
with my back injury.

Love Ann.

Much love to you

Womb to Tomb

Once a human being is born
The birthday present of death
Is tagged along

We love each other
As we go stronger,
Till a time comes to part
If the younger goes first,
Tis a sorrow, sad,
But when one is ready to rest
At the last resting place,
Love overflows.

We all know partings are painful,
But have we any control?
Of course we all know,
Yet live in hope he’d stay a bit longer.

Then when time comes
One is gone,
A smile he leaves behind,
And a tear
My dear,
Neither of joy nor sorrow,
But for those whom he does endear,
As a token of loving memory
As time does inevitably come near

Take heed,
Let him pass in peace,
Be strong as he would want of you,
Dads are rarest of rare commodity
The human race knew
Wish you to do...

BE BRAVE LET HIM ENJOY YOUR SMILE ...AS LAST DOES WHILE......

loved

Your poem is so delicate and it resonates in me tonight. Dad is resting but it has been a long day and I am forever stilled tonight listening for him. Thank you for this poem Ann and Longo today and you too Loved. So much thanks for these words of love you wrote. I shall always treasure. Maybe my father will pull out of this one but it does not look so well and I know he has told me in the last few days he wants to go to sleep...

Blessings to you
Mona Magics with love
