Is It Love or Is It Lust
When I hear your voice
I feel warm inside, like
Butterflies gliding in the wind
On a hot summer day
When I see your smile
My flesh tingles with passion, like
Goose bumps on my skin
On a cool breezy day
When I imagine your touch
I feel a hot stream building, like
Hot springs on Niagara Falls
In the depths of my stomach
Is it love or is it lust
Love is, lust does, can’t have one without the other

Maybe lol
I tend to shy away from contact of such in writing poetry. But may do a little for this one as a small addition to it.
Blow a fuse, may wanna leave out the contact. lol

Hello Barbara
i liked the theme of this write which enquires if the feelings and emotions expressed in each stanza relate to love or lust...i believe love is like a gentle soothing refreshing breeze whereas lust is like a whirlwind...
the two can also be compared to the gentle waves lapping that the shores for the former and a tdle wave bursting at the shores...

I Read my poem again
I read my poem with your thoughts in mind and I like it. Your meaning changes the meaning of my ending. I like it also
Love holds back Lust does it all without shame.
Love is gentle Lust is wild. I see you can have one without the other.
Put the two together what do you get. I must think about that one again.

Dear Barbara
in the context of what you have said as one being the pre cursor of the other..one can compare love with a spring with its gentle waters flowing in a stream and on the way it gathers speed as it courses through and gets wild in a free fall when it turns into rapids which is like an orgasmic burst....

Hi
I am Chez and new here, I stopped by to read and meet. This is quite good and I agree with the statement ending here. Neither one exists without the other, it just becomes more comfortable the further the years go :)
