"FLYING AWAY FROM USA"

"FLYING AWAY FROM USA"
Margaret Ann Waddicor 13th March 2011

Bland without a hand, a heart,
a head,
numbed by the sudden bereavement,
left,
bent in two
my seat belt fastened;
beneath
the inner feelings and sensations
rise,
like weed disturbed by sea's
deep tides,
once glowing blue
now grey, insipid drawn
along the bay,
where shells cast magic spells for me,
for you,
their voices joined in unison
now wail.

It is not far
though far in miles
the spaces in between,
they shrink with love's sweet dreams,
togetherness to such degree
is seldom reached and felt,
where seperate entities melt in friendship,
love.

How privileged how lucky
to find such peace of mind,
while life goes by
its talons touching tender parts with fire
to make us stumble,
ride the scores of years
through laughter and through tears
we see,
however blurred, one to another gives,
receives
and leaves us when our death is nigh
without the dread of fears.

once again, that the Queen of Snow does not have a heart of ice! Heartfelt without being mushy, and romantic without flowers. I felt the somber state of mind, as you flew away from the USA. Well done, my Queen. ~ Your knight, as ever, ~ Gee

There is value to commenting and critique, tell us how you feel about our work.
This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

How well you have felt this my dear Sir Gee, you understood it perfectly, and I am made happy that the message was expressed in such a way that it could be understood.

Yes the mushy things I avoid, they sometimes seem to negate meaning with platitudes that have become clichés.

This is exactly how I felt, and thinking of it the feeling well up yet again, and make my eyes moist. But then its possible to visit once again, and more, so I must smile with the Norwegian sunshine on the whitest snow and listen for the calls of the Spring birds and all will be well again: we poetise ourselves into the trance that nature hangs for us, its curtain of the new day drawn aside for those willing to partake of its bounty, and I am ever willing to.

Happy day to you, and thank you dear Barbara and dearest friend Joe.

Your words have beauty that is faultless. Love Roscoe..

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

What can one answer here, that is......I shall say thank you and be left wondering.
Love from Ann.

You are right dear Shirl, I shall never regret it, I shall have the experience always, it was unlike any other in my life, and even if I do it again, nothing will compare with the time spent this time, I know that. Some things one has but once, and they are the joys and sadnesses one takes with one on into the unknown., indelibly engraved on the H.

I felt exactly so. Sigh of contentment inside me and my love to you too Shirl of the Italian fires and good food. I raise a toast to you, you know what love is.

the last stanza was quite my favorite. Splendid piece Ann.

But my favorite line resides in the second
"where seperate entities melt in friendship"

wonderful
look forward to catching up

Thank you Breakinglogic, the flux of friendship becomes a new element doesn't it. one is no longer separate estranged from one's environment but a part of it in a special manner.

Glad you liked it, Love from Ann.

Stumbled on this - and it took my breath away! I shall have to return to give it due credit!

I must have been on a forced vacation to have missed this piece, Ann.

SO glad Bonnie resurfaced it. I can actually see you in the plane, feel your feelings. So far away
but as near as a thought.

Love,
A & B

I know that you know exactly how I felt, its in the moments of such feelings, that the essence of poetry can be squeezed out of the stubborn mind, and let loose to roam the senses unhindered.

As near as a thought, I like that Anna and Barry.

Ann!
So much really struck me, the motiv, the metaphor and the sheer brilliant use of figures of speech! one example -
"while life goes by
its talons touching tender parts with fire
to make us stumble"
then the strong allagorical use again of metaphor -
"the inner feelings and sensations
rise,
like weed disturbed by sea's
deep tides,"
Lovely my dear, just a lovely, emotive, well written piece!
Thank you for sharing!
