Magic of Makhaela

Some people have the wherewithall to become a good student
while others, are more inclined to excel as an instructor
but, I know someone who's of the mention for both!

The only disclaimer is that, from any given moment
she can "flip" on you.....with the stealth of a circus acrobat!

That does happen to be a part of her "magic", as it were;
for even she can't say whether, or not she's teaching, or learning;
so we never noticed, that she coerced us all into playing the remaining roles.

Sometimes, we'd see her teach the timid how to "cut loose", for the first time
or, learn of a "jabbertalkie" in needing reminding that silence, could be their new, best friend;

I helped to teach her the generousity of an honest smile,
the sincere, integrity of a gentle grin
that was when I learned from Makhaela, that I really knew how to perform "magic",
because after her laughter faded, she'd always wear that magical smile, that I had given her;

only, she wouldn't tell me how I learned to do it!
And, if I could learn that then, I could maybe learn to give her something really, special;
like give her, herself back.....for it has had to have been difficult learning to teach others'

to teach her, of the "magic" that she already owned!
For when I think about it.....only Makhaela would teach me of posessing "magic",

while she herself, was still but a student;
a student of the will, that causes serendipity to rule the day!
For, I had already learned to laugh.....even how to smile,

so, I did teach her that I could learn that kind of "magic"!
And, the rest is simply.....serendipity!

Great story poem, we forget that some of the greatest things in life are within us. This tells of such a discovery. Great poem Regards Roscoe..

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.
