Saul A Chosen Vessel ( written from Ananias point of view )

Ananias! Help Saul recover his sight
He was blinded by light
Lay on your hands, help him to see
For he is a chosen vessel for me.

Lord? He is a man of bitterness and hate
And extremely irate
Your request is hard to equate
Go Ananias! To the street called Straight.

Enter the house of Judas, I hear his prayer
I will Lord, I’ll go there.
Saul! Jesus has sent me to you,
Recover your sight! do what you must do.

He preached in the synagogues with all boldness,
In the name of Jesus.
The governor of Damascus,
And the Jews, sought to kill Saul of Tarsus.

Lord how will he escape? The gates are shut tight
Go! When the moon is bright.
Lower him down the city wall.
And so began the ministry of Paul.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

Thanks for reading/commenting Shirl. Glad you liked it. I could imagine him holding tight as he is lowered down.

Love and hugs

My only criticism of this poem is that it ended, I didn't want it to end. The structure and subject matter so close to my own, would it could always be so. What I mean is I aspire for something holy and beautiful as I think you do too. Thanx for sharing

John

You have lightened my load today with your lovely comments.

Thank you my friend.
