"Fear Is The Mind Killer"

"Fear Is The Mind Killer"

in this fragile body
beats the heart of a lion
with a cunning mind,
I am very much alive.
YOU on the other hand are
without the courage
of your convictions
you mam are a coward!
I smell the fear on you
come near me
and I will show you,
catch hold of you
while you beat yourself
against the furniture
trying to loose my clutch
and get away from me!
it was said in "Dune"
*"fear is the mind killer
the little death"

*"Dune", by Frank Herbert

"Fear is the mind killer." Your title is strong, it makes you want to know, 'what is the mind killer?'
Your language is good, no doubts of what is being said.
I think that one could almost believe that there is a sub-story here. Something to do with having a seizure.
I know someone who is caught in the grip of always fearing what could happen, and they also have an occasional
seizure. Nothing severe, but they worry about having one in front of people and being embarrassed!
I have often told them, that they may be bringing on a seizure by being so worried about it, and not to worry about things that might happen, because they are suffering the fright of them twice! Your presentation works well, with a smooth pace that runs a good theme from start to finish very nicely. ~ Geez.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

after it was all over, I had the fear that I might have caused irreparable harm especially with my sister, she was 4 and 1/2 years older than me and she fought with her fists (Idid, too) the oldest sister was a coward. She was 6 years older than me. she would try to intimidate me with her screechy LOUD voice all the while calling for our mother's help. I one the other hand got a sound in my voice that was deep and menacing. (Steve has hear it sometimes when we argue...he says it makes his blood run cold. when Kathryn heard the voice, she started screaming. then I would grab hold of her arm and just hold on hard...she would panic and try to get away thus harming herself.
I am old and frail of body, now, and if she yet lived, I could scare the crap out of her with just my voice.

“I must not fear.
fear is the mind-killer.
fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain”

Paul Atreides (Muad Dib) from
Frank Hebert’s classic Dune.
