THE CRAVIN

Once around a campfire, bleary
As i sat drunk, starved and weary
Wondering what could bring me peace,
Would make my stomach's sorrow cease,
I dropped my head and started napping,
When came a rowdy raucous yapping,
Then sitting in a tree I saw
A black bird calling, " Caw Caw Caw!
An omen, me thought, the raven, i know -
But to my dismay it was just a damn crow.
Will that for which I yearn return?
Or belly hunger ever burn?
I heard more screeching, not one trill
"Maybe it won't," "Maybe it will,"
What can I do to fill my emptiness before
I starve. Please tell me, I implore.
Quoth the crow, "Eat another s'more".

Need I say Edgar Allen Poe? The Raven.

S'more: popular USA snack, take a graham cracker, put a piece of Hershey's chocolate on it, melt a marshmallow over the camp fire, put on chocolate, top with another graham cracker. Gooey delicious mess.

What a great Idea, to use S'mores to illustrate Poe! A great job! Not a thing that I would change! ~ Geezer.

Once upon an evening napping
upon the door a bat came tapping
indeed it was almost rapping
there upon my half glass door

So yep I see Poe in this lol.
