Kintsugi

She sees kintsugi
as I pour myself in every direction
like rain onto grass
self-doubt holding the tap
open.

Omnipresent dark
clouds the skies
clouds thoughts

her gold earrings sparkle in the dusk.

She grabs a cup.
I am an evoker of sympathy
and the glass overfloweth in her eyes.

I could kiss her if her lips allowed
follow her into her daydreams
to the print of the world that lingers,
behind those hazelnut eyes.

Would we crisscross with commonalities?
Blurred images.
Abstract chains of thought.
Or are we worlds apart
Are we all just worlds apart?
And kissing is just a façade for the hopeful

She sees kintsugi
I see a broken man.

your best yet! I really enjoyed this one; after I looked up the title! Yes, there are those that see nothing but an opportunity to fix someone or something broken. They get great satisfaction in making something [or someone whole, in the image they feel appropriate! Nicely done! ~ Geezer.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

Kintsugi is the art
of mending broken pottery
with gold or silver
Japanese believe that repairing a broken vessel is more appealing
you seem to apply this kintsugi as a metaphor
to unite broken hearts
if so young aussie
you are really creative
at just 20
keep at it
there is no point of being a machine gun poet like me
as jess another aussie bashed me
i understood only when poetry-wise i had been broken
time and again
makes me more beautiful
than I originally was.

Riotface97 is very creative poet. The adoption of metaphor here is classic! At 20 your dictions are bullet. I wonder what would happen if you clock 25.

I believe the poem, Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold- a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections. You won't realize your full potential until you go through the tough times.

Lessons learnt in the poem:
Kintsugi teaches you that your broken places make you stronger and better than ever before. When you think you're broken, you can pick up the pieces, put back together, and learn to embrace the cracks.

"By virtue of creativity, my literary genre is poetry".
