Smile

Smile like a sunrise
not like a clown

never let your smile
turn into a frown

for as frowning is quite hard
a smile is easy as pie

so lift your face, think
then look up at the sky

have joy in your heart
and you will never cry

Last few words:
I wrote this poem one day because I was really happy. I had this giddy laughter fit the whole day and so I wrote about it as a way to tell my future self to wake up and smile.

Hello Viviana, your joy certainly comes through. I feel happy myself, despite some troubles my way.
I agree that it's more for children than for adults. My mother used to say "smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone."!
