A Valentine Sonnet 21

When I compare my wife to any one
I think I see in her some hidden flaws;
But when I shut my erring eye, move on,
The honest one will give me cause to pause:
She stands by me in life’s oft rugged ride
Without complaints throughout my restless days
And takes my pain-filled moods in patient stride,
Expecting no rich gifts nor lavish praise.
She lives up to her marriage vows with gladness.
I love her, not because she tends to me
Should I be trapped in blues or gloominess.
She is my wife, the friend she strives to be,
Our hearts are truly one; they intertwine;
Therefore, she is my only Valentine.

Jerry, pardon the random comment, I've had this open in a browser tab for months ha!
I enjoyed this Valentine's sonnet. The diction seemed to fit the format well. I really like the way line 7 turned out. It is very phonetically appealing!
