Everyone

What is the meaning of this torture?
What have we done who is to blame?
I blame the hatred and the sorrow
Of all your daughters and your sons
Everyone needs to get a little smarter
Everyone needs to open their heart up
Lend out a helping hand
Everyone needs to get a little braver
Everyone needs to try and find the savior
Lift your head up high
Cause all together we can change the world

There seems to be a wall of separation
Taking us from all we know and love
But lift your head high and see Jesus
For he is doing way more than you know

Piece the pieces together like a puzzle
This is the cause of all we’ve done
But have hope that we can change the story
Not add to the damage already done

So, take my hand and put your smile on
Doesn’t matter what you look like or you wear
We all have beauty in the eyes of the savior
He made us with mad, mad, love and care

So, everyone get a little smarter
Everyone open your heart up
Lend out a helping hand
Everyone get a little braver
Everyone try to find the savior
Lift your head up high
Cause all together we can change the world!

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

Whilst I cannot empathise with your wish to find a saviour, I can appreciate your sorrow.
