Come Dance Tonight

I could have danced
all night
every night

dance either with your best friend
or in imagination

see
how you could dance all night
ere the dusk twilight

till twilight dawns
ere the sunrise

just like I do
all night

dance tonight
welcome a dancer
like me who

loves to dance
through the lonely night
dance I may tonight
come along will ye
come and dance with
me

Dear L, what a romantic poem. I don't really think you need the Caps. Why do you feel they're necessary?
Your poem reminds me of the song "I could have danced all night". Did it inspire you?
I would love to dance with you, but I live in Argentine Patagonia. Rather far, right?!
Enjoyed your poem very much indeed. Bring on more.
Best wishes, Gracy

"My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies; fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die, I can fly, my friends.” – Freddie Mercury

How true ma'am I recall my school days when either Audrey Hepburn or Dorris Day sang this song perhaps the movie was Picnic Its been decades These words keep coming to me every day Even when Travolta was dancing with Princess Diana I kept humming

I love to dance everyday
but now age catches up
no one dances with a breathless me
Thanks for the offer Lady
