There May Come a Party
I would like to speak of
The love that never took off,
Of the circumstances
That seemed to come against us,
You’ve moved in high circles,
And you’ve been fêted,
I have squandered num’rous
Chances I’ve been gifted,
There may come a party,
And we can speak of that day,
Romance set to break free,
But circumstances
Never let our love begin.

Maybe...
...You're right, Teddy, I'll try it out and if I like it, keep it. It's today that I do most of the imagining, and yes, perhaps not, but I was willing to try, to say the least, and, well, she has moved in high circles, and when I say high, I mean among the highest imaginable. Not that that's everything, but it just adds an extra layer of regret. I'm so pleased you love this, and the last one...Carl.

A good and widely held view, Teddy...
...that things either meant or not meant to be, but for me, we make our own happiness or otherwise through our actions.

I like the way you put it...
Teddy, 'it is not worth such pain', that is the keyword, pain, and regretting, or pitying, your fortunes, is just that, 'such pain', OK, I'm caught up in it, although a lot of people think what comes of it is a load of rubbish. Others like it, which is great. I'm still undecided myself...;) Loved Take That by the way.

He's great...such a fine songwriter...
I loved him in Take That, especially in the early days, they were all so good and I don't like many boy bands, they should have been massive in the US, but it didn't happen. I thought all of them, Barlow, Williams, all of them, were never better than in the early days of TT.

Me too!
I love the Spice Girls, even now, and that is true, they were massive in the days just before the internet, it's like a long lost age now, it was the quality of the songs that is so striking about the Spice Girls, as well as the sheer charm and charisma of the girls themselves, they were best together, the original 5, not the same apart. I bet you miss London, Teddy, but as you say, not great now, I hope all this passes soon, and you can come back and see your beloved city. Carl.
