Country Girl Life November Contest

South fifteen is my neighborhood
The last twenty two years is where I belong
Children were reared an empty nest now

my two point six acres of nature all creatures welcome
rainbow spiders and bugs everywhere
Animals: deer's, cats, dogs a haven over here

The neighbors are quiet, keeps to themselves
Living their best life in this pandemic era
Children riding dirt bikes around the yard

The bridge flooded out again, our little town
Traffic rerouted as we try to get to a dollar tree
My grandson here for the weekend, needs some snacks

In my neck of the woods
Wrangler Trail is my home
where I'm living my Carolina girl life

Dear Barbara, what a lovely poem about your home town. Not so good when it gets flooded. It used to happen to our farm in Argentine Patagonia, regularly, until a damn was built which got rid of much wildlife, but tamed the river.
I like all your poem, though it has some mistakes or the grammar is not quite right. The title is fine, so is the content and the spacing.
Enjoyed and will return, Gracy

a great picture of your place, with mention of the wildlife and all. Glad to hear that you have a bit of company during these stormy days. Hope the flood recede quickly. Nice stuff. ~ Geez.
