Corona At Work

Every hundred years
pandemic appears
millions die in fear
among their peers.

fear grips the souls
not knowing what beholds
quarantined in their homes
hiding from the corona.

they say its 5G
they say it's Chinese
they call it COVID-19
attacking the weak.

a new way of life
for those who survive
a world we knew
gone from our view.

I was dismayed that you started with perfect rhyme, but devolved into free form. But then, it became clear to me, that even if it
were not intended that way, it emphasizes the harshness of the reality as it sets in. The only critique I have to offer, is that the virus attacks everyone, not just the weak. It kills mostly the weak, but it attacks everyone. Other than that, you have captured a good picture of the chaos of these times. Nice work! ~ Geezer.
