A Short Walk.

Here on this beach I wander
Direction seems to have left me
Sand catching at my feet slowing my pace,
The sound of the waves reaching out

I caught a glimpse of something
There in the distance a shadow that grew
It grew into a young woman
She called to me across the sand

“Where are we?” She asked.
I sent out my thoughts to her
It seemed that she caught them
As a smile caressed her lips.

We exchanged many memories
There also were hard times
Yet in talking it lifted the load
We laughed in showered colours

A peace settled within us
As if a warm blanket was spread
It is time to go we both agreed
Let us stay in the whispers of time

This last thought echoed across
No more would space hold us apart.
Once touched I knew it was always
This is the way the breeze scattered

The sands of time stop when we leave here as time will be as it should
just a man made thing for measuring, My friends the children say that time doesn't exist in their place and that is the reason they can be in several places at once..
I suppose I am helped by their place in most of my writings, and sometimes they forget that we just talk.
Take care young man and it is great to walk with you as always,
Yours Ian

Very good job! This is short but to the point but I like that it doesn't say too much because it feels mysterious and it made me curious to discover my own interpretation and explore that with the imagery of those lines.

A beach somewhere a meeting and the passing on of memories.
This leaves you to make your own beach and invite whoever you wish to meet you there .
This is where the secrets of the universe are held.
Secrets that can only be thought, not spoken of.
I would love to see a write from others of their beaches.
Go well young man and good to walk with you,
Yours, Ian ..
