My Favourite Dinosaur

Allosaurus rooaarr!!!!!!!
[gnashing of razor sharp giant teeth]
[earth trembles to mighty treads]
[creationist Christians co-existing
with dinosaurs flee in terror]

(Allosaurus, like Tyrannosaurus Rex,
but bigger beclawed forearms
all the better to pick you up
and rend you limb from limb with,
my dear)

Roooaaarrr!!!
Aaaaarrrggghh!!!
Eeeeek!!!
[whimper on a dying fall]

one of the stories I used to tell my kids and nieces and nephews! They loved the goriest, nastiest, bloodiest stories about all the Seven Dwarves, Bad Bambi, The Three Little Guinea Pigs etc. I like the simplicity, the childlike intrigue with dinosaurs, the baddest animal ever! ~ Gee.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I don't know why this little piece intrigues me so much. Yes, it's got a bit of Calvin & Hobbes, a poke at Creationists and a nod to Little Red Riding Hood and Shakespeare. Maybe it's just part of me that never grew up and loves dinosaurs.

I used to have imaginary friends called Honkas that looked like pterodactyls. I'd ride around on them, sometimes fight them, in extremis eat them. I miss 'em.

Jess

I love the Christian fleeing in terror of dinosaurs in the theater of a tropical voluptuous earth of blood fuck hell and shear entertainment of this diabolical write

I like the idea of this so much I think it is worth extending and developing
Its really a tremendous ground for a ghastly fiction of giants tearing each others heads off Gets me giddy !!!! :)

my thoughts exactly.
Not sure how to go about it but.
