Return (again)

Soft landing
with clarity & wide undistorted view
a place to breathe, reflect, appreciate
& then a surprise voice or two
a warm bathing in a sense of "home".
& a smile cradles my pleasure.
I am grateful for yet more perspective,
treasure it & revel in it's ability to open yet more,
yet better... yet further.
I have missed these good hearts, these sharp minds, these full lives
that share the words woven into imagery, feeling, story.
I have missed my own flow onto the page.
I had thought it diminished & unworthy to share
yet here I am immersed again in this wonderful interplay,
quietly beaming in gratitude & pleasure
So good to "see" you all!

Thank you, I've missed them too! I practically stopped writing after the last Neopoet demise... This is a new name, sorry I don't recognise you. I will keep an eye out for your writing though. I have really missed everyone at Neopoet.

Cheers

Sorry you have been suffering, bloody brains & chemicals... we just get on with it eventually don't we. I have CFS/ME & a few other auto-immune issues that slow me down & cause awful brain fog, so I got scared to begin writing again in case I found I was so inarticulate that I'd just get depressed... I certainly need to get back in the flow, but it isn't as bad as I thought... Great to meet (remeet?) you.

Had a chuckle as I first read your closing tag as "Remember to Love, and Give Peace a Chance" it works too!

I visited your page & I got the sense you were a writer of very voluptuous & sensuous styles... I hope that's Ok (I could be wrong). I can't remember the name you had, but I definitely think I remember you. In any case thanks for your active & kind welcome, I look forward to sharing this wonderful writing journey with you. (By the way, I also had suffered similar childhood trauma & the PTSD that is an inevitable outcome etc. It seems we who go through things like that are very often vulnerable to CFS & Auto-immune disease, so go gently with yourself, rest when you need & don't wear yourself out trying to please everyone else... so important to care for yourself & I think it common that those who were abused as children often feel we are less worthy & less deserving of care since it was less common we had the care we should have had as small humans)

I hope your absence was not due to some personal tragedy. But for whatever reason it's good to see you back and we all appreciate your homecoming poem.....stan

We all have our tragedies... good fodder for writing though huh? As I just mentioned above, I have CFS/ME & a few other auto-immune issues that slow me down & cause awful brain fog, so I got scared to begin writing again in case I found I was so inarticulate that I'd just get depressed... I certainly need to get back in the flow, but it isn't as bad as I thought. I wont be able to be as active as I used to be, but that's ok too... I am looking forward to making more time to check out some of the work that I've missed from my old faves... Forgive me if I disappear now & then, it'll just be that I have overdone things & can't manage to find the spare energy to comment/write/read. So nice to see some of the old faces & writings here. It's a real treat to be back - I forgot how wonderful it could be here.

Cheers

to have you back and sailing amongst the dreamers and story-tellers. You seem to have gotten a new grip on your writing. So glad to hear that you are well and eager to write again. I think that you will find a few gone from here and this life altogether, some just gone and some newly returned, as you are. And then, there are those that are still here and probably will always be. Welcome back! ~ Gee.

I hope all is grand in your world... yes loving being back, I'll likely be a lot less active than I was & have times of absence when I can't keep up as much as I'd like. Ahh but truly a joy to find you & other good folks still here... I worried about Orgamie (?) when you spoke about those who are gone, I used to worry about his wellbeing. I have kept in touch with Annushka (Margaret Anne) & somewhat with FaerieBeki... I hope to find Arrow, Anna & many others I really cherished still here. It's a bit like a surprise party, I wonder who will pop up. I will make my way to your poems in the next week, I will be a little restricted with how much time I can spend here (that will be difficult & frustrating as I would love to just go through & catch up on the past several years)... Woohoo, so good to find you're here - big smile!

Orgami / Esker /Stephen is gone, taken from us over a year ago. Lonnie too last year, I miss them both. I have C.O.P.D. and have had to stop working, so I have more time to write, but less inclination as depression tries to wrestle me to the ground. Ah well, we all get old. Sure is nice to see you back and I promise that I will not hold your sporadic posting against you. ~ Gee.

Ahh, Orgami, Stephen, very sad loss... what an amazing life & what incredible poetic flow that man was capable of, very sad to hear... though he lived it rough & hard so much of his life, it shouldn't be a surprise. I just hope he found it an easy passing given so much of his life was challenging beyond his own choices. I really hope his daughter & Lori are doing ok & that somehow his poems have been collected & treasured
Ohh, just really sad

I know you are a person who tends to make light of your own challenges, of course you will use it to form some great poems eh? You always make me smile, you have always been so welcoming, warm & encouraging. I will always appreciate you here & generally... you better stick around for a few more decades mister!
(Smile) I don't know what COPD is, forgive my ignorance. I had no idea you had lost your eye either (poetry can be so revealing), love your courage & your sensitivity Gee.

we all have our problems lady
see me still composing
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
do read it
One day it will be on every lip
But in a 7.5 billion strength poets like us
can be counted on finger tips
we are genuinely emotional beings
so let at least
PEACE BE WITHIN
to begin
I am older times
LOVED
you may have read
at least once
now I am Lovedly
lost my last identity

Hope you will come oftner
poetess
Lady you be

I am now@80ish

but I liked your line

"Water the seeds of joy first"

VERY FEW KNOW
what really is a seed
only aussies do
ere they now root
you know it
JESS would have kicked me
I miss his kicks most
