How to Create a Shape Poem

Hello all,
as requested by our friend Raj, here is a step by step of how to create and submit a shape poem

1.  First of all, you need to put your words (the poem) in the shape you wish on MS Word.
2.  On Neopoet, go to Tools > Submit a content > a poem
3. Find the window drop titled "Text format" > Click the arrow > Choose advanced format
4. A smaller text box shall appear in the text/body box where we usually paste our works.
5.  Now you can see many icons > Click the small icon at the top of the box with "W" >
Copy your shape poem from MS word and paste in the smaller box
6.  Click Ok, the shape poem now should show in the text/ body box.
7.  You would probably need to do some adjustments to get the shape in its final look.
8.  Don't give up if the shape doesn't look the way you want it. you can always use the tab or space
button to move the lines to the right or to the left. ( It took me at least half an hour to adjust my
     contest poem)
9.  Don't forget now to save your work when you have your shape in its final look.
10. Never hesitate to ask for help if you've faced any problems before or/and during the process.

I see what you mean raj. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to the double spacing in the advanced format. The site is just not the most ideal for creating images or constructing shapes..

One last thing you might like to try is to copy the shape with the double space from the site, paste it again in word MS, then use the "remove space after the paragraph" option in Word MS tool bar.
Copy again and paste to the text box in Neopoet.
Just a suggestion.

It's ok..you don't need to apologize Rula...perhaps you will find the answer if you go back to your poem and how you managed to do it with single line spacing....

i repeat that I had set the word document with single spacing and setting the indents "before" and "after" as zero....I am sure there would be a way out..now it's time for you to be patient )...i will keep trying...
