IN MY NATION

Building a house you must-
start from the foundation,
there is no top without root,
no roof without structure.
eliminating poverty-
a nation must plan properly.

in my nation,
the I concur policy-
becomes a culture,
which nurtures no masses.
rather applies torture.

in my nation,
pressure is for the weak,
pleasure is for the strong.
for their strength measures-
their treasure for life.
the sweet lemon bills-
implement for the giants,
the bitter lemon laws abide
for the powerless.

in my nation,
wealth impious omnipotent,
the more profuse abuses the needy.
the gap in between never bleaches,
the lackers suffers violence.
in my nation, politics is polishing.

I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

Too large of a gap in income between the top and bottom seldom is a good thing. America is seeing this become a problem too although not as bad as in your country. Your poem states your country's plight well....stan

this issue is getting worse every day and i pray it should be over one day, thank you for understanding this.
