Come Walk With Me

In a place where poets call home
Where their imagination does roam
I find solace from many a grand word
Spoken keys tapped throughout the world

Come talk to me in the coming times
Your words don’t even have to rhyme
I watch each day as you tap away
At the keys your imagination does play

We have for a decade enticed you in
This really is a workshop, let’s begin.
Be not swayed by all the things you see
Write your own pieces, but lazy don’t be

You expect all to read your words, so many
So where are your comments if any?
Interaction is the thing this new year
So make a resolution there’s a dear

To take part in Neopoet’s dream.
Write poetry, and let yours be clearly seen.
Then tell others who need to know
How their poetry has affected you so

Make this a promise to our fellows here
For this start of a great new year
I wish you all that you wish me
Then multiply it by the number three

Have a great new year all our poets out there,
I love you all,
Yours Ian.T Howard- Ian.T. Yenti and Sparrow
They all be me, pop by and have a cup of tea!!!!

Review Request (Intensity):
Please use care (this is a sensitive subject for me, do not critique harshly)
Review Request (Direction):
How was my language use?
How does this theme appeal to you?
Last few words:
Lets make 2018 a great poetic year of interaction and not muddled moaning..

A beautifully crafted piece ,so intriguing.I really enjoyed my read. Thanks for sharing and have a great new year, Sparrow.

Many thanks for your visit to my place hope that tea was enough.
We are trying to arrange a group for Nigeria so that we can co-ordinate streaming of the poetry from there and the workshops that can be studied from your own region.
I am looking forward to 2018 so that we can establish your own writing circle, as there are quite a few from Nigeria and as the way of life, and sometimes the words, are local to Nigeria, it is sometimes hard for the critique to be accurate.
I have suggested to Weirdelf about this, and he is looking into it.
Have a word with him on PM and lets make Nigeria a forerunner of African Poetry for the average person.
Talk to you again, and many thanks for your Comment here, I am so thankful.
Have a great 2018 out there, and stay safe..
Yours Ian ..

Hmmm..the tea was indeed more than enough Sparrow and thanks again for it.Plans as regards group for Nigerian poets on Neopoet is a very good one and would be a great achievement.I am looking forward to it.

Jess is looking for a member to lead the African poets on Neopoet, someone from there that understands the talk and the way of life, then to nurture such a wonderful place that is held dear to my heart.
Could you please have a go at starting a Blog here and invite all of your many nations to join in a self running unit as a part of Neopoet, there are several Nigerian writers here at the moment and I feel that we need to gather their wonderful ways of life in poetry to let the world know the breadth of their writing and life's experiences.
Have a word with Jess (Weirdelf) and see what you can do, we will give you all the support you need in any way just ask.
This will do for now, I await the awakening of Africa in the poetic place of Neopoet,
Yours as always Ian..

I hope that ess will sort out something for Africa.
It needs to be run by them for them, there are now quite a few good poets from there that post on stream, their language and ways are unique and we will be able to understand more as they progress..

your poems are fuelled with a profound knowledge of everything, both human and surreal. keep up with your fine words because they sing for love, god and the other side.
great words and, remember, you are a spirit poet (as was jim Morrison)
I admire an exploration of a poetical human subconscious. I implore words to weep as they are sent to work against dead god and his musical world. some of my poetry works whereas a fair amount of it doesn\'t. I write all weeks of the livid year and have written more that 17,000 poems .. breaks in sense and sound plague quite a number of my poems and, yes, I am searching for something new vis, a life of infinite love and languid passion

Many thanks for your projected love of all things, I find many things are given to me by whoever guides my ways,.
Sometimes this leaves me open to some bad comments but we never mind do we.
In this world there are so many ways, each of us have probability tracks that we can follow, then the poets and writers of this world try to write of them, projected or maybe I should have done, from the past days.
The piece above was written in around ten minutes around the time it was streamed, I look at the stream and think that I should write something and just let it flow.
You say you have written around 17000 pieces I suppose I have thought of around that many themes and words flow around all the time and we just need to grab them with the keys, but as you know and are aware, most of our passing thoughts can never be either good enough, or sensible to write down.
Complex creatures such as we are, we need to keep parts of our internal library secret, or hell would break loose in our day to day lives.
Have a look inward as you assess a theme, equate it with the lives of others then write.
I have been in many places, from the wings of a butterfly, to the trenches of WW1, then on to myths and legends of people across the world, I even heard the death of Van Gogh, when as a bee I was on a sunflower in one of the fields he loved so much.
Reading and imagination can bring so much to your door, I started reading when around three or four and would take a torch to bed and read under the covers each day, so until two years ago I read many books from all over, then I found one day I was reading the same paragraph over and over again, and now find that though I have three and a half books here to read from my favourite author of the last few years, I have neglected to carry on, also many tasks I have shelved.
I hope this is not too long a reply for you, the children I refer to in many of my replies and messages are another thing I have neglected, I have 125 audio tapes here that need to be written up, each tape has the bones of at least 28 stories or poems so there are a few years of writing to do, but due to being lazy and family health problems and being oldish, another neglected place I need to sort.
That will do for this Sunday lol..
You have a great new year and look inward for a path to take or just guidance for the one you tread,
Yours as always Ian..

Ian only should do
I walked with you
holding your hand
see now you have left me
and
thus all have abandoned
but a thick skinned guy I am
shall continue to walk with you
as I have always done
will still do
2017 is going
as did 2010.....onwards
now 2018 is at the threshold
Ian alone will hold the door
ALL NIGERIANS for you
promises the bard
standing in front of you

..

I cried a few tears when the news of Esker going ahead to pave the way for us Neopoets, I lost a brother around the same time, and as I have said we in our family were 10 now we are but 3, it has been a hard few years, but I know where they journey to, so I feel OK about it.
Though I still shed many tears for them and now my friends, the children that keep me company most times help me to understand.
You take care of you and lets have some great pieces from you, I wait and then on the odd day there it is a great piece of writing from you so the wait is worth it.
Take care young Bard.
now you are thought a lot of,
Yours Ian..
