Beautiful Sadness

Beautiful Sadness

I have observed a reversion
to the wild;
the sounds,
the ivy,
the shrubs,
the trees,
shelter feral houses.

I think the key to the poem is the word "feral" , a very unique word, one that I had to look up to make sure I knew its meaning (which I had wrong- I thought was an animal who was wild which was domesticated, but is actually the opposite.) So we have sounds, and plants (ivy, shrubs, trees) sheltering feral houses...houses that used to be domesticated and a now are wild...it would seem the verb is acting on behalf of the sounds and plants. The poem title does not help me unlock your meaning. Could you help with some suggestions to guide me to your intent?
