The Lyran Wanderer 373

A wanderer in the world,
an alien from Sirius,
the Galaxy of Lyra, is where I’m from;

I have no marriage, no husband,
I’m alone in the earth;
I have no real friends, no close associates;
I’ve returned to a wanderer’s life,
Free to find my purpose, my mission,
Free to create my own destiny, life path;
I now walk my talk, speak my truth;

I’m a wanderer, a Lyran
I’ve explored the planet, the cosmos;
It is where I belong, off the grid.

Being so far from home and alone, I can see how you might feel off the grid. There are a great many places that I'm sure that are farther off the grid, but probably not so comfortable. Of course I can't know what technologies would be available to you on your home planet, but I will assume that they surpass the life here on Earth. Why anyone would want to come here to live, I have no idea.
I would have chosen another place, where there are no wars, no injustice and the myriad of other problems that come with the human condition. Which means, no people. Ahh well, I guess there is no telling what makes people happy. If the success of a poem is the thought that it evokes, I will say that this one has done it's job. Thanks for the thought provoking work. ~ Gee.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

Your comment/critique is most gracious.
I would think my only reason for coming here was to help this beautiful Earth overcome all that you mentioned.
I feel detached from everyone I know here. Being from Sirius the brightest star we can see in the universe, with the Gods sounds appealing. I just can’t fit in, yet I’m loving more my spirituality after I dumped my religion belief. Now I’m free to be myself and declare my own self worth.

that there is something bigger than all of us that guides the universe. I try to be as good a human being that I can be and hope that if there is an after-life, that I will be rewarded for my efforts. If there is nothing [as many people say] then what harm have I done? Yes, there are many discordant people and situations in this world, but where else would you find the love, courage, honor and devotion to raising the ordinary human-being to new levels? ~ Gee.
