Black fella speaks

Troy Packer Speaks
I love this country
(a poem from my Indigenous Australian friend Troy)
It’s been our country for sixty thousand years
and I believe in the Dream Time
and I love that the Rainbow Serpent
made the lakes and the kangaroos
made the billabongs

And now that the white man is here we all gotta live together.
I love this country, Australia.

Last few words:
Troy's first poem.

no place like home

always remember to make a critique of other poems
using the hoe is not madness for nothing

but there was no more, wish there was! Love to know more about Dream time, and the rainbow serpent.
In the recent Australian Film festival here I saw a very good film I recommend; TANNA. About the cultural relationships in your country. There were people like Troy Packer you refer to. The indigenous culture shares with ours in the USA such unique and wondrous mythologies, dances, and rituals. A great subject for you to expand on in your own way.

There could be more but he doesn't trust white fellas words.
Why should he?

Australia is a country worthy to be loved .I passionately wish to be there one day. A place with more Kangaroos than humans.Don't know how true that is anyway.

I hope you get the chance to encourage him to find a medium/outlet he likes so he can start sharing.
