New Years Resolution

Not to comment on works of poets that cannot be bothered to reply or comment on not only my works but that of others..
We are here to learn so get use to it..
Love you all,

spoken like a trail captian...i knew these of the gentleman bikers club
and italian gentlemans club
is and us the old boys say this trend
i was the last of the x gens who actually went to old folks home
and hung out with the old guard
and spent time with the up and coming
new queens.princesses...female....
one day they will be on the throne..
i never was from the trailer parks
i was driver..and brilliant enough to
be worthy of the brass note crowd.
backstage is a busy place.
if u get in your working
not lolligagging about

its called respect Ian
just something that has fallen
away through the years
and many old use this
to drive away the new
talent...
but many old here
are savages
i know the rule book
like your knees/
keep up the good work

ha ha

still....the new must
know how to circumnavigate
us old and soon to be gone
crowd..
why i work with the very young
they are crafters..
and my intel goes round the
globe.....\

i know the wordless wonders
..think i dont..
i got an eye on everything
what my grey wolf eyes
do

thank u ian for asking
for respect
then just expecting it
and whinning like
some \b***hs here do

your a class act

mr wolf

Sorry about the whine,
it was the sound of the winters wind.
It creeps into my bones,
Respect is a well used word
People die for respect
Or lack of it.
You are better versed in some ways
I have probably walked in sheltered ways
It is left to my imagination to seek out others
I have watched with grey eyes also
Though when they are grey they are troubled
I don't have the time to seek out more.
I rely on my memories and think.
I walk with the children
Also have walked with the elders
They have told me I am a free spirit,
That I must write to others
There is a soft option
I can talk to like minds.
There is no life,
where a challenge doesn't exist.
So I seek all types of minds
Here I play with a gentle breeze
Take care young Wolf,
Know that you have much to give
And much still to learn of your elders ways.
Walk with the sun at your back
Rest when your shadow grows short,
Yours Ian..

Many thanks for reading my short Blog and moan, unlike yourself I have been writing since before I was 15 so that is coming up to 60 years now.
It is OK to write at any age, there is no need to worry about form unless it is asked for, but Neopoet is a place to learn of these things so take the opportunity this place offers.
When you retire from work, and find you have a lot more time, especially at night it seems, then to be able to write in more forms will be a bonus.
I have a store site for many of my pieces and a few useful items in :- yenti.co.uk . so have a look and see if there is a category that suits you and see if my scribbles are of use.
Thanks again for your visit,
Yours as always Ian..

F
for....fark..
like a coffee shop
friends country men
what have we here..
sipping on your latte
and remaining silent
..
where is the fair
exchange of ideas
dreams...good critique
and honest expression

you are right..and yes
even as an aging old
fart...i need my elders
for advice..
and youthful minded
and samey aged...

thanks Ian!

BAwolf!

Sorry this old fart is being petulant and throwing a tantrum.
I should know better than to follow the trend by not commenting, so I shall carry on as normal and talk to the deaf lol,
I will be sorting out some paperwork today and will see if I can send stuff to your friend out there.
Have had a lot of things to worry about of late.
Anne had an op in September to take out soft palette because of a cancer growth.
It was all removed and the healing process is under way, that is going to last a few years, but the results are fine just the healing is a pig.
Hard to eat food talking a problem and hearing knackered but we is progressing OK, so should be less grumpy in the future..
I have bags of stamps on paper here and will sort out some of it today, I think all the UK stuff can go as it is not in my collection side.
Anyway keep smiling and I hope you all have a gentle winter.
Yours a puffed up Sparrow..

I wrote a piece a while ago, I wonder if you will see the songs that many love and enjoy.
Jess didn't answer this one, and I think I may have unpublished it as there were no comments..

“The Sound of Silence”
“The Sound of Silence drifting across the warm evening
as I walked by the riverside to find the
“Bridge over Troubled Waters”
so that I could get to “Scarborough Fair”
There I was having an affair with “Mrs Robinson”
We were “Blessed” to meet on “Bleeker Street”.
“The Boxer” begging there, I gave him a Dollar.
Jess did you know that her name was “Cecilia”,
but I called her “Robi”
It was “Cloudy” that day but she was a breath of fresh air,
I use to think she was “Fakin’ It” but she said, I had to,
Because that man at the bar
” He Was My Brother” “A Most Peculiar Man”
He went by the name of “Richard Cory”.
I knew damn well that “Wednesday Morning 3am”
Was no time to be out drinking with another man’s wife.

We both got up and were “Homeward Bound”
As fast as we could,
We heard the faint songs from the cathedral they were singing
The “Benedictus” so they were up early also,
I told her that I would stay with her as
“I am a Rock” in most difficult things.
I asked when could we marry she said
“April Come She Will” and I will join you in our heaven,
“Feelin’ Groovy” and all un-necessary..

So that Jess doesn’t know who made this up
I will call myself by my fictitious name of “Sparrow”

Love to all, xxx

Another Day,
I wonder if there are readers as well as writers,
I see the old Monk at his desk all he seems to do is write,
His quill and colours of his paints make rainbows.
Maybe as our members he hasn't time to read others works.
I see JG left us the other week and all his comments disappeared with him, just a thought of all the extra space there would be if my comments were wiped out.
Thinks shall I shan't I. ????
Please not to worry just a passing thought, it has now become a was thought,
Yours as always Ian.T

Thanks for the reminder, now that we are a few weeks into the new year and only hours into the Chinese one we should be able to sort out new workshops and teaching programmes.
At one time I would copy the workshops and put them on my poetry site but can we sort out a step by step guide of some sort on poetry writing.
We can start with the basic poetry for the newbies and keep a standard workshop practice.
Can you write a guide for the site???
Not only how to write poetry but how to critique others.
There seems to be a problem with the new poets as they feel as though they can't comment on others works.
Need a plan !!
Take care young man and I will sort out my end of poetry when time permits.
Yours as always Ian..

My dear dear Ian/Sparrow,
you have always been the heart of Neopoet and I charge you with the task of joining Judyanne and Rula, not just as Greeters, but being newcomer welcomers.
You would be the first to admit, within your humility, that you are the best at guiding newcomers, some of whom will immediately surpass your own poetic knowledge and abilities and you will know who to send them to.
I trust you, little brother.

cheers,
Jess

I will as you know do my best for this site, I know there will be quite a few new poets that are above my knowledge, but as you know I will let them carry on to the better poets I know here.
Great to have you taking a great interest and taking part with Neopoet,
I think I have told you that we have medical problems but things are improving and there is a light out there some place it is going to take a year or so for initial treatment but as you know we have wonderful friends out there to support us.
You take care and know I am here most times,
Yours, Ian..

I am fine it is Anne my wife that has had an operation, and it means my time here may be limited.
Anne had a tumour in the soft palette and now is healing but it will take a year or so and then some, so my time at the moment is split a little.
I will monitor the poetry as usual but comment and critique may be more short and blunt.
Take care out there,
Yours, Ian..
