Jesus Is The Essence Of Christmas

Jesus Is The Essence Of Christmas

Let us pause to think of a time well spent in thought
God who in his excellence wanted each of our souls to be bought
He pays the debt that wasn't even his after all
A heart saturated with truth in order to withstand the test of time
Many a heart is torn for materialization in the making
Yet Jesus Christ died almost 2, 000 years ago on the cross
This was for all the world to see what was his prayer
What was his final plea father forgive them cause they know not what to do
He said the prayer now the rest is simply up to you
Let us join hands to worship the king of kings
I'm not asking you to join a church it's not about steeples & bells
Nor a salesman giving you something to hear no his love was such
That he suffered so much just to call some of us to follow
Become a beacon of light to a hurting world in need
While the watching world outside longs to see you bleed
One must remember the true essence of Christmas is Jesus
For he shined the light in which way I have been waiting for
It's not found in what the world perceives as being love
Rather it's in the tender hand of a baby born from up above
A challenge to be set free is a question of time
Come to the loving arms of Jesus and leave your cares behind

to this day far more meaningful than a judgemental Abrahamic god sacrificing his so-called son to rectify the errors he made in his creation. It didn't work when he tried to kill everyone with a flood either.

Apart from that the poem is windy and the long lines and erratic rhyme don't work.

Wishing you a Salubrious Solstice
(and if you are into lies, a merry christmas and a happy hanukkah as well)

cheers,
Jess

but what it represented. By the twenty fifth it could be ascertained visibly that it was time to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, thus the feast of Saturnalia.

Was taking the dog for a walk...
on the lawn elevated off the street
down by the old glue factory!
I saw the illuminati figures
Illuminated figures...
Why there is Jesus!
half awake!...then I realized
No...its Joseph....But no!
Mary his woman was there
and as the dog and I went
past There was plastic baby
Jesus in her arms!

Well...U know how they say
U look like your parents..!
had to correct myself!
Waved at them but they
were lost in their glowing
Made in China affection!
We then just went about
our way in the clacking of
limbs heathen forests
and could see the dark
primal forest above
the trackline...Escarpment
Like a dark wave!!
There are spirits up there!
we came home
But I think of the Forty Watt
family down there!
Somehow I felt closer to
that then the Russian Based
santa claus with Reindeer...
Everyone knows that santa
must come from North Euro
to have reindeer sleigh!
They dont even use them
in our northern Nunavat
!

Im glad that we celebrate
his Birth as much as his
giving of his most precious
gift! Himself!

Happy Birthday Jc!

thank U!

Mr Wolf!

was this poem a parody?

Why would that be? We know the day the hour and the minute of Jesus death because the death and resurrection are important. We can only guess from the time Zechariah was serving as priest in the temple that Jesus birth was around late August/ early September. (It could conceivably have been six months later but this is hardly likely as shepherds were still in the fields.)
