The Stealthy Poet...

The Stealthy Poet...

He's never had it quite this good
An audience at last!
See me, folks of my old hood
I've made the big time at last!

I pretend I'm crazy
Or maybe just not there
But I really ain't that lazy
I'm on my way somewhere

My paranoia is in full bloom
I think there's someone in my room
Maybe day-mares from them shrooms
I'm having thoughts of impending doom

Whew... I went a little amok!
I don't believe in all that truck
I think I was just a little stuck
Damn, this poem really sucks!

Once I was told by a psychologist that I have to be half-mad to be a successful poet. Your poem successfully substantiated what I was told. A success. I envy you.

that it's true; that you have to be half-mad to be a poet! However, I want to be a great poet! So I am going for the whole deal! Really mad poet! There, I have declared my intentions. Thanks for the read and the comment. ~ Gee.

Love it

Perhaps not sure of the title
'Stealthy' - doesn't quite say it to my mind....
Maybe
artful, crafty, delusive, foxy,
Or
privy, private, perplexed.... for alliteration
- my favourite though is impostrous

- the impostrous poet.....

A fun read gee
The meter is slightly out in spots - but it fits with the depicted erratic nature of the narrator, and I like it as it is

thanks for making me laugh
Love judy
