Nature’s Symphony

In the darkness of the woods
My eyes adjust to the non-light
The shine of the moon
Seeps through the canopy
Exposing the beauty of the night.

In the quiet of the night
Sound is amplified
As if nature’s orchestra was playing
Music created for the soul
Lyrics which are beautifully simplified

The eerie screeching of an Owl
Intoxicating sounds of the crickets
Deep throated bull frogs
Each playing in nature’s symphony
In this theater, no need to buy tickets

Life is at its best
The soul is elevated
Oneness is found within the heart
This is the simple pleasure
Which causes you to be rejuvenated

The incredible possibility
That nature is connected to our being
In the most unnoticeable way
Is evident, but not always realized
Only through the quiet of hearing and seeing

I like this a lot
the music of reality in the raw
imitated through human song, (surpassing that of nature in complexity)
but never as spine tingling, or immediate, or honest

the truest night music shall never become a lost art.
I miss that contemplative lull in our boisterous, and busy, man made world.

good piece of verbal music,

regards,

Al

I wrote this after a walk in Central Park at 9pm.
I live only one block from the park, I try to walk in it every evening.
It's the only forest in walking distance from my apartment.
Glad you liked it, and understood the importance of natural music.

Hahaha!
You are right, I am. being I was born and raised in N.Y.C. Now that I am older I long for the quiet of the country side.
Thanks for the read.
