Now starting! Technical workshop- best use of your computer for poetry

I am now running a workshop on technical aspects of using computers, word processing and sound recording. It is not specifically about any aspect of poetry, it is about using Windows and Macs to greatest benefit.

It will run concurrently with other workshops as it will not conflict with any of them or require much input from the participants.

What I need is input from you on what you would like to learn about, or what you would like others to learn about (often we don't know what we don't know because we don't know it).

I already plan to cover basic commands like copy, cut and paste and the various methods for using them.
Some Advanced formatting methods.
Voice recording for SoundCloud and Vocaroo especially.

Much of the workshop will be direct Q&As and links to useful YouTube instructional videos.

So let me know what you want.

would be great. I'm glad to see you've already included it.......stan

I need to know how to use the souncloud, how to use the advance format in the poems we posted here- bold letters, Italics.. etc. Something that people who are not well versed in it could put to practice.

Alid

and cut and paste. I don't seem to be able to sometimes. Also, as I type here I'm waiting for it to do something weird, like select the whole thing or throw my print bar to somewhere else.

Begin with Advanced Formatting. That's what most of us seem to need. Then talk about recording our poetry.
