What Matters

One person doesn't matter,
only family does.
Family doesn't matter,
only country does.
Country is a power concept,
a lie,
and really doesn't matter a pinch of shit.
Only our species does.
But we are fucking up,
so only the planet matters.

And luckily,
there are lots more planets,
in lots more galaxies,
possibly in lots more universes.

So everything and nothing matters, Goldilocks.

I am finding this hard to answer, Yes out there are many places, in history and old stories there are spoken many things.
A house with many mansions etc: and I bet Buddha had a similar saying as with all types of beliefs.
I wonder what you are asking of us when this write was put on stream.
Who is Goldilocks, was there a message in there, could have been "Go about your life, try all things then choose the best and enjoy it. Maybe ??
As to the planets like ours well how small has a mind to be to believe that we are unique, what arrogance man has, he wants to put a limit to all things because he himself is limited.
The nearest Star 4 light years, I think that I will try the easy route and use the think when I am able to, there I shall wander in the beauty until called to do a task or two.
Take care young traveller this is only a part of the journey.

Thanks for jogging my stupid memory, of course I am aware of the "Goldilocks Zone" it was too far back in usable memory to recall, I am back on track again.

Sure the individual matters, as do families. My contention is that countries are a necessary evil on the path to a unified humanity. It sets up some hypothetical choices, like sacrifice. Sacrifice one human (or family, nation or species) for the survival of the family? The nation? The species? The planet?

Plants are part of the whole evolutionary process and humanity is not the end product. In America especially the concept of family has been blown into absurd proportions as a means of isolating and controlling people. The nuclear family did not even exist before the industrial revolution.

No. Nations are composed of people, not families. The notions of nation and the nuclear family are artificial constructs of dubious quality that need to be constantly critiqued and re-evalued.
