As The Night Descends

As the night draws the curtain close
And all the earth lays down it’s head
The moon and shadows strike a pose
As our little ones are tucked in bed
Ethereal beings take to flight
As heavens’ curtain slowly falls
They pass unseen through out the night
To undertake their sacred calls
To guard frail humans in their sleep
Bringing hope to weary souls
From house to house, they quickly leap
To carry out heavens’goals

It does often seem as if we are being looked over by others doesn't it? I kinda wonder why you didn't break this into 4 line stanzas although in this length poem it makes little difference lol. BTW I think throughout might be a compound word.......not sure but it seems so...........stan

A "We Willy Winkle" poem short and sweet as Stan suggests it could be put into stanzas to allow us to breathe but it could also be extended.
This could be put on stream with the main poems, you have enough skill to stream your works, so will look forward to more,
Yours Ian.
