The Sound Of Rain- The Sound Of Rumbling

I love the sound of falling rain
Sounding louder on my rooftop
Steady sometimes faster it sings
Outside my sliding glass window.

I look harder to see it rain
I love the sound of falling rain
I see trees swaying in the wind
And hear the rain even louder.

Ahh, I see rain fall from gutters
Outside my sliding glass window
I love the sound of falling rain
As it pounds on top my rooftop.

It's quiet outside my window
Trees has stop swaying in the wind
Rain from gutters reduced to drops
I love the sound of falling rain.
*
I just love the sound of rumbling
After the rain has left the scene
The sound of thunder from afar
Clamping outside my window sill.

Storm clouds hover above the trees
I just love the sound of rumbling
It keep getting nearer to me
As the rainfall comes in and go.

The cool breeze tamed humidity
Cooled the hot springtime sunshine rays
I just love the sound of rumbling
When spring rain storms makes its hay day.

The rumbling sound black swollen skies
Split, letting go of its water
Lightning strikes here, there, everywhere
I just love the sound of rumbling.

I liked the mood and imagery created by you through these verses. I am not wise enough to comment on the poetry form.

What about a workshop? Have we done a workshop on the quatern?

Just one suggestion.
"Trees has stop swaying in the wind" (this should be instead... "trees have stopped swaying in the wind."

may I offer a suggestion? The monthly contests do introduce new types of poems. Mayhaps we can have workshops to explore them further?

so I'm taking it slowly

lol. I'll try some of them but will need your guidance, my friend. I'm eager to do it but must learn to be patient with my speed of learning.
