Earliest Memory

it prompts an awe-inspiring contemplation -
a memory I have lived with all my way
throughout this life, this single incarnation
and who I was back then unchanged today

above the ground with gentle smooth floatation
I’m headed somewhere, making not a sound
a nebulous affect of glum negation
not wanting to not what? I’ve never found

there’s someone with me, someone that I know
forgetting now, today, just who it was
we seemed to be departing rosy glow
to places dull and full of squalid flaws

observing children playing down below
becoming one, but I’m, somehow, still me
above I see distorted features billow
I wonder to myself, who can that be?

awareness, ‘tis, where I surrender trust
when people say there is no life but this
and when we’re dead we’re nothing more than dust
I think of then, and such deceit dismiss
.

I may or may not visit Australia this life, yet believe me I happen to visit a school down under and feel privileged to take lessons on creativity, cadence, word usage, abstract meaning, poetry forms and admire the humility and compassionate nature of the teacher who delivers these lessons to me absolutely free of cost...

Warm regards and love,

raj (sublime_ocean)

You would be more than welcome - especially if you keep flattering me with your wonderful compliments
Thank you very much

Please believe me, not a word i said was flattery. I meant it truly. ...having said that, i hope the invitation still holds good even though it's not flattery :)

Warm regards and hugs,

And the invitation is open forever

I agree that there is something beyond this mortal life. Although I don't recall anything prior to about 2 years age, I've had experiences which can't be explained away as fantasy or such........stan

yes - and it is good that we take notice of those experiences and tiny whispers..
thanks for the read and comment

I am removing the above note
thanks for ur assurance i am also a poet

A grand write, each year I celebrate my memories birthday, and I re-stream the poem I wrote for it.
It's titled My Memories Birthday, and it has an exact date as it was the historic invasion of Europe by the Allies on 6th of June 1944, in England and the rest of the country at that time were all the aircraft that took part in that day, and I can remember the sky filled with aircraft all going one way, and as that was the only time in my history that this happened I actually can put a date to it.
This is unusual for a memory to be so accurately dated but it was probably very noisy and the sight I shall never forget though only being two and a bit at that time.
Thanks for your write it can now join the memories department.
Yours as always Ian xx
PS:- I shall ASAP copy parts of the tapes for you.
