ROADS edit

ROADS

Ironic twists and turns in the roads we choose
sudden beginnings; abrupt endings
choices that bring us to unexpected places
but places where we are meant to be.
Cruel strikes from out of nowhere
that maim and cripple body and soul.
Time drags us along and we follow

Indeed, the roads and pathways which we often pick at random eventually become our life's journey...........stan

Maybe there is no free will after all.

there Must be free will or we wouldn't always use it . I seem to have been led to say that lmao.....stan

there r 3 kinds of wills

first till 30 plus =FREE WILL

Second till say 67plus ////minus===WILL POWER

Third thereafter =====YOUR ''WILL..''
===THE strength it can show to all around
who should show more
and be more around

Yes, and may be predetermined.

thanks, my good friend,

We have choice - which path to take, which fork to follow, and how we choose to react, or not react, to circumstances.

But at the moment, we can't escape time.
I like the write Joe, it has a certain 'truth', but is really only half of the story...

shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'

Maybe each path leads to the same place . The paths we ""choose"" could be predestined

I know, I hear, "not again" but the Children say that we predetermine our life's journey and the things we want to learn for enhancement of our Spirit.
Sometimes we become bogged down and have forgotten our prime reason for being but the mist will clear one day.
You take care of you as you have lots to teach others yet, only step outside of your self and let others see,
Yours Ian.
PS:- I remember from long ago where Poets and artists would gather together in groups to talk of many things, from these talks would evolve new thinking as each contributed to the whole.
It is time to walk with the others in talk again..

I am not a student of spirituality so I won't debate on the myths and perceptions expressed by others.

Perceptions are relative and generally based on real time experience. Having said that, I liked the subject, flow and essence of the poem in the context of your perceptions.

It is believed that the soul takes different forms as we progress from one life time to another...if so...i am reminded of a quote [don't remember whose] which says
Progress is a journey and not the destination.

Now I'll assume my Mr. Spock persona and say that a wise man has no free will because he always sees the right path and, seeing that it's the right one, is compelled to take it. Now if i can just get my right hand to give the "live long and prosper" sign lol.........stan

The wise man sees only what his intellect assumes. The wisest man is the fool. :)

We are all on the same journey to somewhere forever
How can it not be predestined?
We are all going to the same place...
Our free will gives us the opportunity to go there in the way that suits us best, to learn the lessons we have designated ourselves for this particular part of our journey...
