The Mind Is Free

A man's body shackled by sickness,
lying on the bed, weakened
but his mind can still be free
to dance in his fantasy,
to fly with the mighty eagles
looking at the world from above,
to explore the wonders of space
witness the birth of a planet
or to journey to the past
reviving the good times shared
with loving family and friends

The body may be imprisoned
but the mind is free

Style / type:
Free verse
Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

I like everything about this.

A typo "explore"
And you need to space between "witness the".

Hope you'd have a quick recovery.

Thanks for the visit and pointing out the mistakes. The pain can be very distracting.

So true! The mind can leave the body behind and journey to wherever it wants - television has helped, opening up the imagination to new and interesting things.

Good one!

I hope you're feeling o.k today - not in to much pain. :(

this is what I am currently feeling as I am recovering from a surgery, so I supposed writing from real experience made it more heartfelt in its execution. Thanks for the visit and comments.
