Wa Hey!

On top of the world here down under
leaping from blunder to plunder
I dance round my flat
in a very cool hat
my head full of thunder and wonder

:) I like it!

Reminds me a bit of the words to a "Men AT Work" song! LOL!! Good job Mr. Tapper!

although normally I would take exception to being compared to Men At Work, they are pretty mainstream. [grins]

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Dance

Elf......I know you Like my poetry...I went out in the world and my father
got me a job...and he showed up and showed me how to chop down the tree
and the owner of the lodge gave us both supper at his Vacation place when
he was alive..EUGENE KATES AND HELEN KATES 1985. ARROWHON PINES
I liked them..My dad showed up and showed me how to chop down a tree
his favourite stories were of his late teen years of working for a lumber camp
and hand cutting with a swede saw in four feet of snow eleven logs a day
for the mill..then On Fridays walking eleven miles to town and to mill camp for dance.
he worked for forty years for the railroad....a great feat but his stories
of the woodcutting were dymanic

I liked how he got me the job at the camp and came in and helped me
and how he had photos of the rail line in the fifties when it was closing
P0litics
but he know what I liked and needed

We learn.....me too about ego bravado
and etc...

I wish I was near a coastal surf zone
it would have been so cool
then a temporal
xone like this

but thats what I got
and I have never been
to a drag race...

an oval race
once...

and for the record
I think it was a great poem

Thunder and plunder down under - and down under being on top of the world
- you got that right jess

Good limerick - although i was always of the understanding that the last verse of a limerick was supposed to practically repeat the first verse with only minor changes :)

Still like it though...

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,
shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'
(Rudyard Kipling)

repeats the first line however I find it much too limiting in such a short form.
