Question for the community

Would it be helpful to have a feature that sends an e-mail notification when one of your poems receives a critique?

Comments

That would be great! But can't we make it an option, so one would tick if he/ she likes to receive a notification that his/her poem has received a critique or not?
thank you Andrew.

I remember this feature was there before the crash of the site. I say yes. You may go by the consensus.

It might help some members who aren't here very much to show up a bit more often

It would be good, but make it optional, so folks can decide for themselves. I know I would have it turned on right away.

I agree that Neo is not a spam..nor endorsing Poetry...it is the reverse...a negative startling and fresh
in a sepia world all full of golden hue'd promise for a buck....Peepshow glamour like sticking your head
through the strongman cut out with the bikini girl at the beach....
So I would willingly tic off that box...although I am forever like Pavlov's dog pressing the pedal for the
pellet morsel to arrive......And in our case Pressing "save" is our enrichment!

Thank You Andrew! (and all)

I have to simple click delete
on this site
I don't get much air
so anything you'd do
I'd bear

but Andrew
twill be better if you introduce
''' how many have read you''
it gives some consolation to simple poets like me
who want to see...
ask Jess the rest about me
he hopefully would now not curse me...

however it must be optional.

cheers,
Jess

Coming onto Neopoet each day I am flagged by how many updates there are.
These are first priority, then the All site activity which I look at all the activity for the hours I have been away from site.
There are many that do need a reminder that there is some action going on for them to reply to, their PM's and the comments left on their work, so selective reminders would be good, we just have to make it so that those that receive PM's or comments answer those before they can post again.
Stan's contest will generate a little more interest for would be poets, but I will think on other things to help others become more active.
The BOOK of Neopoet for each year having the best of Neopoet's works in would go well, The cost would be collected from those who are in the book to start and extra's from those that buy, they would make Ideal Xmas presents or birthday presents for the following year.
It is about time that we sorted this "Neopoet 2015/16" poetry would be a good year to start publishing.
Can we at least have this costed and aim for around one poem from each week sorted to 40 per book, it would be self supporting.
We receive on average around 100 poems per week from which the top one can be selected, we have the input and it is and has been wasted for years here.
This would by the selection of the poems used increase the quality of the poetry here on Neopoet,
Yours Ian.T

Would be my vote, the option of receiving mail
from anyone is already a function on your email.

I would agree this might be a helpful tool

I'm on poetysoup and would go a long time without visits. When I get a email that my poem has a comment or emails that the site is backup after downtime I'd go there read and post sometimes. The email reminds me when i haven't been there for a while.
