SCATTERED WAVES - ( I) SCAVENGER IN THE MIND'S LANDSCAPE

i

Rogue memories
prisoners in a cage
blockages in the
arteries
of time and space

ii

Laced with sensuality
the illusion grows
the myth is perpetuated
the search
for the perfect satisfaction
intensifies
the more it intensifies
the deeper the entrapment

iii

Within your own head
within your own being
is a vast ocean
of freedom
navigate it
with cat like alertness
and quiet aplomb

iv

The problem
is not
that I think too much
In fact
I think too little
and sometimes
not at all
but yet my mind
is forever
a busy place

A scattering of thoughts, then you say that you think too little.
I think you will have to find something so simple to concentrate on and make it beautiful with your think, it will be hard but I will challenge you to do this with a grain of sand, and see what we can make of it.

20 minutes later lol:-

A grain of Sand

A grain of sand so fine scattered to the wind
The camel didn't know of you as he set you free
The warm air thermals took you over the sea to me
So tiny yet holding the universe in your body

I didn't feel you touch me and sorry I was unaware
A speck of dust to me wasn’t really there, yet you live
I carried you with me for many days as part of me
no wash or shower took your form away you see

The day did come though I am sorry to say
I walked in the rain and it took you away
To the streets I walked and still love to this day
I should have known you but you didn't stay

Down into the earth the water took your form
Taken up by a flower then you were reborn
There giving beauty to those creatures around
From a grain of sand, heaven and then earthbound.

What I am actually trying to convey is the bareness of a lot of our mental activity.

Thanks. I really appreciate your most valued inputs.

I was just trying to prod you into another field as I know you are capable of a great write.
I shall wait a while to see it emerge.

I am the kind of person who basically writes in one flash inspiration and then I can't do anything more than make a few cosmetic changes like, punctuation, changing a word here and there, redoing a like break and stuff like that. Whatever I do has to be done there and then. If I leave it and try to go back to it after some time, I sort of lose interest.

In many cases, I have felt that the effort was half baked and could have done with a more sustained and holistic effort. I agree with what you say. I should stick with it a bit longer and try to keep improving on it. I shall try to adopt this new approach.

Thanks for the positive critique. It always helps..

I commented then wrote the poem of a grain of sand, for your streamed poem, and I said I challenged you to write so I thought I had better put something together for the challenge,
