My Garden

I walked into my garden today
There you were, I said go away
Why you asked of me, "Can’t I stay?
It is not your time to visit my home.

I have been to your home I know,
that was so you would not be alone.
There staring from your window so
It was the tears I helped you let go.

This garden of mine will be here,
when shadows greet winters cool
It is but a tool of eternity, can’t you see?
I tend it so, that you can walk with me.

When the time folds and ages join
Here we can talk of yours and mine
A peace that knows no bounds
Where only joy and happiness is found

Yet I hear you say what of today?
It is yours my dear to blend,
with thoughts and life.
That one day will end.

My garden is open all the time,
there's no hurry as with some of mine.
I shall make sure it is in full bloom,
there is no time, so it will be soon.

For you to walk with me.

What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

i liked the connection to nature's final curtain call, meaning the time is now to do all right or all privileges that life gives

Thanks for your visit, glad that the poem gave something out, when I haven't put anything on stream for a while I just sit here and jot them down, I suppose the new phrase would be to Key them in, I may catch up one day lol.
You take care out there and hope you take that trip to see Jess.
Yours as always Ian.T

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” — W.B. Yeats

A place that we can go at any time but always remember that as there is no time and the way of things fold into one then we are there already.
I leave the lawn as it is and watch over the footprints there knowing that they belong as all do to the now.
Hope you are in recovery at this time the children are quiet so they must be away and busy,
Take care and see you out of there soon, Yours Ian..xx

I have read this poem with great interest, although perhaps I would appreciate a more detailed description of the garden rather than only its symbolic meaning. Anyway, the main impression I have received from this and other poetry of yours which I have read is that your an extremely benevolent person. This characteristic is also clear in your comments on other writers' poems, and I think it is a very admirable quality.
Best wishes,
Robert.

There are many gardens, they appear to those that see them with many thinks, all are a garden but as seen in each of us our flowers and plants belong to the one that sees, I will tell you about Sally one day soon then you will see more of their world.
Your garden is already there you just have to learn to see. will talk more later, Yours Ian.T
